Scientific Achievements

Professor Dr. Israa Alaa Al-Din Nouri, a faculty member at the College of Political Science, Al-Nahrain University, has co-authored a book with Dr. Alaa Abdul-Khaliq Al-Mandalawi, a faculty member at the College of Islamic Sciences, University of Baghdad, titled “Political Thought in the Islamic World: An Academic Study of Ideologies and Political Practices”.
The book provides an in-depth academic analysis of the ideologies and political practices that have shaped the history and present of Muslims, tracing the development of Islamic political thought through various eras. It examines major ideologies such as the Caliphate and Islamic democracy, and analyzes issues of justice and tyranny, as well as the role of women and youth as influencers in politics.
The book also explores the impact of globalization and colonialism on the political and social structures in Islamic countries, and the prospects for renewal and modernization in Islamic political thought. It highlights the contributions of Muslim scholars and thinkers, from Al-Farabi and Ibn Khaldun to contemporary thinkers who have presented innovative concepts that blend authenticity and modernity.”
