Professor Dr. Imad Salah Abdul Razzaq, a lecturer at the College of Political Science, University of Nahrain, participated as the chairman of the discussion committee for the master’s thesis of student Huda Hussein Mazaal, which was held at the Department of Political Science, Imam Al-Kadhim College for Islamic Sciences University. The thesis was titled “Political Corruption in Kenya 2002-2022 and the Benefit of Iraqi Anti-Corruption Mechanisms.”

The discussion committee consisted of:

The thesis addressed the issue of corruption in Kenya from 2002 to 2022 and the internal and international efforts to improve governance in that African country, which has suffered for six decades since independence from British colonial rule, from political authoritarianism and one-party rule to the dominance of a single elite over the reins of power, even after the return to multiparty politics in the early 1990s.

The thesis also included some recommendations that could raise the pace of reform in Nairobi and benefit from them within the Iraqi efforts for reform and anti-corruption.”
