A lecturer at the College of Political Science at Al-Nahrain University, Dr. Duha Faisal Ali, published a joint scientific research entitled “Climate changes and their impact on water security in Iraq,” in cooperation with Dr. Zainab Ghaleb Jaafar from Tikrit University.
The research examined the impact of climate change on water security in Iraq, based on the Copenhagen School perspectiveHe focused on the environmental dimensions of national security. He also highlighted the water challenges facing Iraq as a result of the policies of neighboring countries such as Türkiye, Syria and Iran, in addition to the internal environmental crises resulting from pollution and climate change.
The research was published in the Journal of the Knights of Rapid Response for Security Studies, Issue (3), Volume (2) for the year 2024, which is a magazine issued by the Iraqi Ministry of Interior - Rapid Response Command.
