In the presence of the President of Al-Nahrain University, Professor Dr. Ali Abdel Aziz Al-Shawi, and under the patronage of the Dean of the Faculty of Political Sciences at Al-Nahrain University, Professor Dr. Osama Mortada Baqir Al-Saeedi, the Rehabilitation and Employment Unit organized an employment conference that is considered the first of its kind as an important cultural and scientific event, with the participation of a number ofFrom various companies and institutions, attended by His Excellency the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Al-Assadi, and an elite group of professors, academics, and students.
The conference, in which a group of private sector companies participated, such as telecommunications, banking, investment, construction, beauty products and skin care companies, aims to enhance employment opportunities for political science graduates, by providing them with the opportunity to meet employers and learn about the requirements of available jobsIn his speech, the Minister of Labor stressed the importance of holding such events that contribute to coordination between the outcomes of university education and the requirements of the labor market, noting that his ministry is working to support youth through strategic partnerships with the private sector.
For his part, Dr. Osama Al-Saeedi, Dean of the College of Political Science, mentioned the importance of qualifying college students in a way that suits the changes in the labor market, explaining that such conferences represent an important link between graduates and employers.The conference witnessed great interaction from college graduates and graduating students, who expressed their appreciation for this initiative, which is the first of its kind in the College of Political Science, hoping that it will be a step towards launching them in their professional careers
