A field visit for political science students to the House of Wisdom to enhance historical and political knowledge
The Department of International Economic Relations at the College of Political Science organized a field visit for a group of students, under the supervision of an elite group of department professors, to the House of Wisdom, which is considered one of the most prominent historical and intellectual monuments in Iraq.The visit included a rich program that included several axes, most notably:
1. Learn about the cultural and political history of Iraq: where students learned about the historical stages that Iraq went through and its pivotal role in building human civilization.
2. The status of the House of Wisdom as an ancient historical landmark: The importance of the House of Wisdom as a scientific and cultural center that contributed to decision-making in various eras was highlighted.3. The role of the House of Wisdom in supporting government decision-makers: Students learned about the importance of the research provided by the House of Wisdom in the political, economic and social fields, and its role in supporting government decisions.
4. Visiting the House of Wisdom Library: where students viewed valuable sources and references that are an important reference for researchers in the humanities and social sciences.5. Introducing the role of specialists in political science: The importance of the role of specialists in this field in supporting and making decisions within the institutions of the Iraqi state was emphasized.
