The Faculty of Political Science at Al-Nahrain University discussed the doctoral thesis of researcher Raghad Nizar Saeed, entitled “Multiple Track Diplomacy in American Foreign Policy toward the Middle East.”

Importance of the study:
The study dealt with a topic

Contemporary in international relations, focusing on the development of the concept of diplomacy from its traditional form to its modern form, represented by multi-track diplomacy. It also examined the foundations of American foreign policy towards the Middle East, explaining the importance of this region in the American strategic vision, and the tools that the United States relies on to achieve its vital goals. The thesis analyzed the expectations for the future role of this type of diplomacy in the region.
Study objectives:
• Clarifying the basic concepts associated with diplomacy, highlighting the concept of multi-track diplomacy and its working principles.
• Defining the dialectical relationship between diplomacy and foreign policy.
• Exploring the importance of the Middle East in American foreign policy and the challenges it faces there.
• Analyzing the diplomatic paths adopted by the United States in implementing its foreign policies.
