Published by Professor Dr. Riyad Mahdi Abdel Kazem from the College of Political Sciences - Al-Nahrain University, and Major General Dr. Ali Hendoul Madkhour from the Defense University for Military Studies - National Defense College, published a joint scientific research entitled “Iraq and the Opportunities for Transformation towards a Renewable and Sustainable Energy System” in the thirty-ninth issue of the Heritage University College Magazine.The research highlights the need to shift towards renewable and sustainable energy sources to reduce emissions and maintain energy security, especially in light of the electrical power shortage that Iraq has suffered in recent years.
It also highlights the efforts made by decision-makers in Iraq to adopt practical steps to transition towards renewable energy.
