The thesis was titled &#8220;The Desertification Crisis in Iraq &#8211; Challenges and Ways to Address It in Light of the Saudi Green Initiative&#8221;, and was submitted by First Secretary Zakaria Saber Othman for promotion to the rank of Counselor. The examining committee consisted of: Ambassador Osama Mahdi Al-Rifai \u2014 Chairman Ambassador Munaf Salim Hassoun \u2014 Member M. Dr. Saad Ruwais Hamza \u2014 Member M.
