Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Political Science at the University of Nahrain, Professor Dr. Osama Murtadha Baqir Al-Saidi, the Department of International Politics organized a scientific symposium entitled “Iraqi-American Relations and their Future Prospects”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The session was chaired by Professor Dr. Arshad Mzahim Majbal, and a group of professors from the department presented scientific papers that addressed the dimensions of the relationship between Iraq and the United States of America.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Assistant Professor Dr. Ruwa Taher Drouish presented a research paper entitled “Determinants of Iraqi-American Relations”, and Instructor Dr. Hadeel Harbi presented a paper entitled “Iraqi-American Relations during the Second Trump Administration: Between Renewed Interests and Ongoing Challenges”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Instructor Dr. Faisal Ghazi presented a research paper entitled “Options for Iraqi Decision-Makers in Iraqi-American Relations”, and Instructor Dr. Hanaa Rahim presented a paper entitled “The Future of Iraqi-American Relations”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The symposium concluded with a set of recommendations, including the adoption of a strategic balance policy in Iraqi-American relations, reducing dependence on the United States in the security field, and enhancing economic independence.
