PhD Discussion at the College of Political Sciences, Al-Nahrain University

The College of Political Sciences at Al-Nahrain University held a discussion of a PhD thesis titled “The Status of Alliances in the Constructivist Perspective: A Case Study of American Alliances After 2014” presented by researcher Karrar Hassan Ali Habib.
The discussion committee consisted of:

The thesis emphasized that international alliances have always been one of the most prominent geopolitical phenomena in shaping the international system, especially after the Treaty of Westphalia, which laid the foundations of the modern nation-state.
The study aimed to analyze international alliances from a constructivist perspective in international relations and interpret how American alliances are constructed and sustained in light of social and cultural dimensions.
The discussion hall witnessed the presence of several dignitaries, including the Minister of Youth and Sports, Ahmed Al-Mubarak, the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Ahmed Al-Asadi, the head of the State of Law Coalition, Yasir Al-Maliki, and several members of parliament, as well as the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Osama Murtada Baqir Al-Saidi.
